Submit An Item For Free Appraisal

We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

We may use your appraisal on our site as reference for others with the same item(s). We'll never display your personal information and will remove all sensitive information from your submission. Please contact us for a private appraisal. View our privacy policy.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. Coin has the error on both side.

Lost a fight with a soldering iron?

D. 1969s ddo lincoln cent

looking like a common cent.

D. 2010 Triple Error Dime

The fourth error being stating as such.

D. Wild turkey bourbon collection.

Nice! Ready for the Kentucky Derby!

D. A 1944 penny with an error on "trust"

With the level of wear that this has, it's not clear that is an error. And if it is, it is a minor one. So we're talking a technical grade value of perhaps $.50.

D. Can I have your opinion about this penny?

It's a great photograph of the reverse of a Lincoln Memorial cent made between 1959 and the present. There aren't very many that are worth more than face value so you can enjoy it or you can spend it in good health.

D. 1905 barber half dollar. It’s in great condition you can even read the banner behind the eagle on the back. BUT there is a stamp Or engraving on the face as shown, looks professional.

"Great" is not one of the accepted coin grades. So I'm gonna say you have to settle for very good to fine. The stamp is interesting, I would guess it's a trade stamp of some kind. I don't think there's much to help the value it might even be considered damage; personally I collect these. I estimate the value at eight dollars.

D. Uncirculated1987 d kennedy half dollar I believe this coin would grade high enough to be in the upper auction prices on record for the coin.

Trust me: It won't. A scratch by the date, some rub on his cheek, you'll be lucky if they even give it an uncirculated designation. Even if it gets an MS66 that makes it a ten dollar coin. at 68 it jumps to a grand or two... but it's a rigged system, the average guy is unlikely to get that kind of grade. It's supposed to be a blind process but I think the graders can tell when a good client is in with a palette of coins. That's the only way I can explain how the high grades are so elusive....
