This is not a "lamination" error. This is a horribly damaged quarter with a great amount of wear. Lamination errors occur when surface metal sloughs off the planchet due to production flaws. I'm just beside myself that anyone, regardless of their experience, would look at this coin and think it has any value beyond 25 cents.
