I have a 1963 D silver (steel) penny and I can’t find any info on it
You won't. There are none. Someone might have coated it with zinc in their chemistry class, however.
REVISED: Why would it be? And silver doesn't look like that. If a silver dime planchet; it weights 2.5 grams and would be thinner than a regular cent. If copper, 3.1 grams. Weight it and get back to me!
Okay it looks just like this could it not be struck on a dime planchet like this one?
