I would surmise you have a coin with either mechanical or heat damage.

I have this 1979 Kennedy half dollar coin with a visible air or gas bubble on both sides of the coin in the same area. Also the thickness of the coin is off, and the discoloration of the coin itself. Contact me at 385-495-3413 if this is a actual error coin. Thank you
