This does not look like a cud error to me. The die would not likely break in a way to leave such a filling. I think an auction is a great idea, let the market determine what it's worth. If you can get $5 you're doing great.

1945 wheat Lincoln cent with what I believe might be a cud error or die break. All I’ve found on a wheat very similar to this says these were found a few years back and only about 100 of these specific coins were in circulation. Was wanting to get as much information on this coin as possible. An estimated price too and if I should put it in an auction.
