So you take a quarter, you grind it down, and you smooth it out. (I don't mean you or him, I believe he found it in change.) No, that does not make it an error coin. Within these pages we have answered about half a dozen questions with similar looking coins that are fairly intact on one side and featureless on the other. I don't know what motivates people to do it, but it's not a scarcity

My husband got it as change. The one side looks like it was grinded but it's smooth to the touch. We are just wondering if it's a error coin and what it's valued at. You look at tge sides all that's there is the nickel clad. Thank u Teresa swiger
