I have a black nickel as you can see. I have not been able to find anything about it online. The closest thing I came across was info about a 50s black beauty nickel but nothing about modern black beauty coins. I also have other coins that I think you might find interesting.

I see many coins. Yours is dark because sometimes nickels oxidize that way. They are mostly copper, in fact. Odds are it experienced heat, moisture, or both. Some people find this attractive, others consider it damage. I find all coins beautiful but don't think this one is one to retire on.
