I found in a jar full of pennies what I believe to be a 1996 wide am cent. There is considerable space between letters. Also the fg is closer to the memorial. These conditions are not caused by corrosion.
Put it back in the jar, and back out of the apartment very slowly, without turning anything on or off.
Just kidding. I don't do much in modern varieties but I would say with the level of wear it has it is basically a penny. If you can get more than that you can call yourself a coin dealer.
