Your nickel has a book value of perhaps a dollar or two but in practice it's not rare and it's heavily worn so we wouldn't pay more than $.15 or $.20. As for the half dollar, not sure what excellent means. In average circulated condition we would buy it for about six dollars. You should check the reverse for a mint mark. Though I don't think it matters that much there's no rare mints that year. you're welcome to make an appointment with me in my Hastings on Hudson office. I'd love to see the rest.
