I'm not confident enough to stand by your conclusions. How do you know it didn't start as 1933 or 1953? Despite you what you read, these aren't rolling around in circulation. If you want to take a chance, you can get it graded for $50 by one of the major third-party services. My prediction is it will come back in a "body bag."

I've done all the tests it weights 3 1 grams and it isn't magnetic. And as far as I can tell it isn't the altered date from the 1948 penny .
