I have a Discovery coin, it’s the 1977 d. Quarter struck at the Denver mint. I don’t know the composition. But it looks to be silver%40 and 60%copper. Or maybe it’s 100% copper. However no silver coins should have been struck in 1977.

Discovery [Dis-CUH-verr-ee] Coin: "One found by a novice in change which, despite their misinterpretation of Etsy and Youtube postings, would best be used in a parking meter or laundromat."

This does not even qualify for our complimentary appraisals. I recommend you spend ASAP. If it's the one you plan on sending for grading, I promise it will come back in a body bag and you will be out the money. I can tell by the color it is just copper-nickel. Silver quarters weigh 6.25 grams. That alone is enough for you to rule it out as silver.
