Good evening sir ,
I am a collector of world coins and banknotes based in the UK . I have many beautiful coins and scarce banknotes but this little beauty is baffling me please can you help me identify this .
This coin/ token dated 1888 weighs 5gms and is 23mm and made of brass ? Reeded edge . On the reverse side is a perfect depiction of the Morgan dollar eagle with a small 5D , on the obverse is Liberty head . Is this a gaming token? Trial piece? Or child’s doll house toy money?

It's fascinating. Odds are it's a low-value fantasy piece. The best possibility would be that it could be a "pattern" coin from the mint, a design piece. Any chance you would ship it insured for appraisal and representation?
