Hard to say it's a "mistake" without knowing actual sale price. I don't accept the presumption a PCI is simply one notch below PCGS. This coin looks like it's got light circulation wear and would more likely be in the XF-AU range. Also, these varieties are hard to sell above the price of the regular issue, we get them and they can sit through a year of shows before a buyer pays appreciably more. So my advice is, be confident in selling and put your money to work for a coin you want more or a corner of your life that needs the funding!
Hello,
I am about to sell one of my coins from my collection and before I do, would like to know if I’m making a terrible mistake. It is a micro O 1899-O graded MS-63 by PCI, which usually means it’s a PCGS 62. The main question I have beyond the innate value of the grade and type of coin, is regarding the clash marks on the obverse. I have not seen another like this in any of the VAM varieties and would like an expert to let me know if they can put a price to the rarity of it. Thank
