It's older and has some wear but I have never seen anything like this on a coin. Also, a friend of mine collects coins and said to hold onto it that it was something rare. On the back of the penny there is a half moon shape lil chunk missing and it it so perfect that I would've had to have been done with a machine. It's better to see in person, of course the pictures do it no justice. My collector friend agrees that it looks as if the hole was made at the original time the coin was mad
