I suspect you’re imagining the upper D. Looks like a nickel with typical wear. People refuse to accept this so we don’t handle these.

1964D, nickel, well circulated. Nickel has two D’s. One at the bottom of the Monticello, and one at the top of the Monticello. The second D just above the original mint mark area. I would appreciate any advice or thoughts on this coin. Thank you very much. I have searched online to find a coin such as this and been unsuccessful.
