No such date should exist. The date looks altered.

What would you say if a local coin guy said the date is not altered and it looks feels and weighs as it should with no discrepancies.

I would say that I don't want to disrespect the opinion or another professional. If that's what you mean by "coin guy."
I would say I have 50 years of experience, I'm an A.N.A. life member, I have a wall full of certificates in courses on grading, alteration, counterfeit detection, and coin business in general.

I would say if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I would say, you can pay fifty bucks to get it certified from PCGS, NGC, or ANACS, wait three months, and then you'll have the opinion of three graders and a master grader.I would say you will then either be $50 poorer or $50,000 richer.

I would say you could then decide who to thank and who to spank.

Please let us know how you do.
