Special strikes of the 1960s are not something your likely to find loose at a garage sale. Was it in government packaging? A holder? A certification slab? By all appearances, you have a nickel.
Interested about this nickels. A number of years ago while garage saleing, I came across a metal box of US silver commerative, coins, foreign coins and paper money. Some of the foreign coins were in coin holders marked with appropriate info, along with this was about 20 lincoln pennies a 3 nickels only marked 1964. I just came across an article about 64 nickels and pennies that were special strikes. Please look and let me know
