I have more pics but can't seem to add more than one image
I saw Black Beauty nickels of the 1950s, but this one is out of that range.
I can send you more pictures if you like. I don't think the color is because of environmental damage; the reverse also has the consistent color

The color is because it is a wartime silver-manganese alloy, worth about a dollar. You'll see the mint mark over the dome of Monticello on the back which is only something they did during 1942-1945.
