Problem coins usually have a high penalty in value. In AU 53 it would be around $700 as a problem-free coin. So how does one handle this? If I were selling, I'd drop it a couple grades, say, call it a VF and ask $275. But if I were buying it, as a dealer, I would pay very little, as there is an abundance of damaged coins. If you can get $25-50 you're probably doing well.
