Uncirculated and proof have different meanings. Proof coins are made from specially polished dies for collectors. Uncirculated simply have not been spent or handled. Generally, both types of coins are worth 20 times face value, figure a half dollar is worth $10. Original rolls (shotgun rolls) from the mint command a premium as can some government sets.
