Someone altered it by pounding the rim. This is damage.

I have a 2008 P Alaska quarter that is much thicker than any other quarter I’ve seen, is smaller than other quarters and does not have reeded edges. The color is different and appears to have the extra claw and lots of doubling of some kind on a lot of the letters. Hoping someone can help me out with this one.
