I do not think anything you described could be distinguished from circulation wear and I think you may have trouble getting more than face value for this coin. We write a lot that a lot on our website if you are interested.

I have come across this rare nickel and believe it has double strike errors in it while looking at the “D” mint mark and th “C" in America. While examining this nickel it appears to be like no other nickel that I have ever seen and immediately started researching it because of its unusual appearance. I am interested in selling this nickel if you are interested in it.
