Coins wear and oxidize in many different ways, and I don't see anything remarkable in this one.
I got this Bicentennial Quarter in my change at Lowe’s yesterday. It doesn’t have a shiny appearance that all my other Bicentennial Quarters have and only weighs 5.39 grams. It definitely tapers to the right, but doesn’t really have a copper color on either side the way I thought it would if it’s a missing clad layer. Could this be what it is even though it doesn’t have that copper color on one side?
