Could you tell me a little bit about this I have been trying to find information on it, but there isn’t any. It seems to be the only one so far maybe you have more information. I’m sending you the picture as we speak. It is a 1968 Denver penny it seems to be stamped in the front and in the back twice I’ll let you take a look at the rest. I hope to hear from you soon.

It’s not a double strike that I can see. Notice inversion of the “ONE”. This could be from another coin getting pressed into it. But I’m not an error expert and can’t say with confidence it happened at the mint as opposed to in someone’s basement. It could be a die cap or blockage error but certification would authenticate the nature of what happened. That is a costly and lengthy process and since the coin seems to have circulation wear, I can’t recommend that be done except to satisfy your curiosity. Sorry!
